TV: [Spoilers!!!] Nevertheless (Final)

Article: Divided reactions to 'happy ending' of 'Nevertheless' being too different from original webtoon "Too obvious" vs "As long as the leads are happy"

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+255] If they change the ending like this, it's basically not 'Nevertheless'

2. [+236] Changing the ending like this means the webtoon wasn't reflected in the drama at all. Why do people only care that Nabi is happy when it's all fake anyway? What would've been so wrong with a sad ending? Why are Korean dramas always under pressure to make sure that endings are happy? As someone who enjoyed the webtoon for what it was, I feel disappointed;; it would've been different if this was an original work but it's supposed to be based off the webtoon

3. [+89] Why are 99% of Korean dramas always happy endings or open endings? 😂

4. [+29] I'm happy about it 👏👏👏

5. [+23] The drama basically turned into 'Nevertheless, I love you'...

6. [+11] I'm happy that the ending is different, it's for the best 👏👏👏

7. [+8] I love this ending

8. [+71] I already knew the webtoon's ending so I'm fine with the drama ending being different... It's great to see them both happy at least in the drama world... ㅜ

9. [+6] I like that it's a happy ending...

TV: Viewers root for Song Kang vs Potato Boy for 'Nevertheless' ending

Article: 'Nevertheless' with final episode to go, viewers divided between potato boy vs Song Kang

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+140] I'm definitely rooting for potato boy... Park Jae Eon is too slick and gives Nabi too much of a hard time

2. [+48] I'm rooting for Park Jae Eon... It feels like he draws a line because he doesn't want himself to get hurt. It'd be nice if he could learn that sometimes it's okay to be hurt and be honest with your emotions. But... in the end, it's up to the writer ㅜㅜ I'm waiting for the ending with tears in store ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+37] Ah, Song Kang for sure... ㅜㅜ

4. [+31] Potato

5. [+31] Song Kang fighting

6. [+26] Potato for me

7. [+22] Everyone's rooting for Song Kang... but his personality is trash ㅜ but he's so handsome

8. [+23] I'm for Song Kang... ㅎ

9. [+22] Song Kang no matter what for me

10. [+12] Song Kang for me, potato boy is too stuffy

-

TV: [Spoilers!!!] Nevertheless

Article: Han So Hee feels guilt while seeing both Song Kang and Chae Jong Hyub

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+185] So basically Nabi and Park Jae Eon are two of the same kind of people, this is getting boring

2. [+154] Honestly, aren't people only watching this for Song Kang and Han So Hee ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+120] Potato only took pictures in the 7th episode and that was it ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ ridiculous ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+87] The first episode was the best episode. Maybe because the ending is so obvious but I feel bad for potato boy and Yoo Nabi and Park Jae Eon are actually really frustrating and boring bo twatch now... I don't think I can watch anymore because I feel bad for potato boy. Yoo Nabi and Park Jae Eon are actually pissing me off.

5. [+40] I'm only watching for Song Kang and Han So Hee, I have no care at all for what happened in the webtoon

6. [+9] Please make Nabi and Jae Eon come true

7. [+6] I don't like the drama version... the webtoon is always better

8. [+4] Stop joking around and make Nabi and Jae Eon official

9. [+19] It's so different from the webtoon, it's getting boring

'Penthouse 3' changes character's hair style after criticisms of cultural appropriation

Article: Logan Lee's brother changes from reggae hair -> straight hair after receiving criticism of cultural appropriation

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+1,046] I don't know why hair styles have become such an issue lately... short hair cuts mean you're a feminist, reggae hair means you're racist against Black people? Aren't Asians allowed to style reggae hair too? I don't get why people think it's racist... I don't get it...

2. [+1366] The straight hair looks even weirder

3. [+131] They styled the character in such a cool way, how is it a caricature at all??

4. [+67] So much fuss over nothing, tsk tsk

5. [+66] Americans are up in arms over this calling it 'cultural appropriation which is basically their way of saying "how do you think you are to costumize another culture? are you racist?" but if we have to follow that logic, then Black people must only wear afros, white people must only wear tuxedos, and Koreans must only wear hanboks and gats with no hair dyes allowed. The PC world doesn't make sense to me.

6. [+2] I thought Goo Hodong was back ㅋ

7. [+1] People thought it was Goo Hodong with tattoos and hair straightener ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

8. [+6] The character is an Asian chaebol with reggae hair and tattoos, I don't understand why Black people think it's a thug impersonation of them ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

9. [+1] The real problem is that 'Penthouse' has too many characters and none of them are fleshed out that well. This character is too much, too. Not only the hair but from the tattoos to the toothpick, the coats... It's a caricature of a stereotypical image and the drama is just trying to force too much. If an American drama featured a Korean character who only ate kimchi, had poor English skills, and only wore glasses and studied all day, you guys would be pissed too.

10. [+1] It's funny to me that the drama is basically being recorded live that feedback like this can be reflected right away

TV: [Spoilers!!!] Penthouse 3

Article: Logan Lee and Shim Sooryeon reunite after 7 months with a kiss on 'Penthouse 3'

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+142] I'm failing to see at what point they fell into such deep love with each other

2. [+68] I thought Shim Sooryeon was the only normal character in 'Penthouse' but she's really not normal when you see that she's in love with her own daughter's step brother ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ there is no normal person in 'Penthouse' ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+37] The drama gets so boring with these two..

4. [+9] So happy with the ending scene ㅠㅠ wishing these two happiness ❤️❤️❤️

5. [+2] Tired of this now

6. [+13] I'm no longer surprised to see dead characters come back to life in this drama ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

7. [+2] How'd he even come back alive?

8. [+1] Now all we need is Oh Yunhee to come back alive

'Nevertheless' viewers don't think editing out Kim Min Gwi is fair to co-star Yang Hye Ji

Article: With Yang Hyeji to be edited out of 'Nevertheless' because of Kim Min Gwi, fans enraged "It's not fair"

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+211] Ah ㅜㅜ Hyeji-ssi's acting is so good ㅜㅜ

2. [+223] Just keep going, what's there to edit out when we've been enjoying the drama all this time. I'll let his private life scandal slide!!!! It's already hard waiting weekly for these episodes, just keep it the way they were meant to be. Don't ruin my focus 🙏

3. [+112] Need more Bitna

4. [+125] Or maybe make Oh Bitna get a new boyfriend

5. [+30] Yang Hyeji is too cute 😍😍😍

6. [+27] Bitna is too cute, tok tok vitamin Bitna ❤️

7. [+13] The little bits of Bitna's acting that we get to see is what makes the drama for me ㅠㅠ sad to hear this news

8. [+2] The fact that his image is the complete opposite of his drama ruins my focus on the drama ㅠㅠ

9. [+1] ㅡㅡ So are actors only allowed to play characters that perfectly match who they are in real life now?! It's only us viewers who have to suffer the consequences.

10. [+8] I feel bad for all the drama editors. Every time a celebrity gets into a scandal, they're all forced to work overtime to edit the scenes 😢

'Nevertheless' producers to phase out Kim Min Gwi from the drama following his scandal

Article: 'Nevertheless' producers "We will be editing out Kim Min Gwi's screentime as much as possible starting this week"

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+314] It's unfortunate. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two. The lead couple is a bit boring 😭

2. [+151] I enjoy them as a couple in the drama but reality is quite different... His acting career seems to be over now!!!

3. [+100] Ah... ㅠ I really liked his saturi... the way he talks... how unfortunate.... ㅜㅜ

4. [+89] I really enjoyed this couple's acting in the drama 😢

5. [+47] I was so jealous of this couple in the drama but I guess drama can never reflect reality. I'm really disappointed at how different he is in real life from his drama character.

6. [+106] My favorite couple ㅠㅠ what did the female co-star do to deserve this

7. [+31] How unfair to his female co-star

8. [+6] My favorite couple, how unfortunate

9. [+5] Daebak~ they were my favorite couple in the drama

10. [+6] They should just remove him completely

Jun Ji Hyun begged 'Kingdom' scriptwriter for a role

Article: Jun Ji Hyun, "I begged 'Kingdom' scriptwriter to let me in the drama, even as a zombie"

Source: Joongang Ilbo via Naver

1. [+345, -65] I remember someone's comment about her fried chicken CF where they lost their appetite because it's a turn off to see someone who doesn't look like they'd even touch fried chicken advertising it ㅋㅋ

2. [+354, -77] Every time she comes on the screen, I go wow ㅜㅜ She's in her forties but she has it all ㅜㅜ

3. [+239, -9] The drama is what keeps me going. There's nothing fun lately.

4. [+191, -57] Movies and dramas are always using the same people so every movie feels like the same movie... Let's please give opportunities to other people.

5. [+96, -14] I don't think she's a good fit for the drama. There must've been other better rookies that would help the story more. This was the same issue with Jang Dong Gun and Hyun Bin's historical zombie movie.

6. [+77, -2] I'm niot her anti but I would've rather had a fresh face for 'Kingdom' than her again

7. [+80, -11] Let's be real, if she had really been offered a zombie role, she wouldn't have even considered it

8. [+80, -23] Let's please cast some new faces

9. [+63, -10] I'm getting tired of her. All of her CFs remind me of her 'My Sassy Girl' character.

10. [+54, -1] Kim Eun Hee scriptwriter, please take a break on 'Kingdom' and make 'Signal' season 2 ㅜㅜ

-

Song Kang and Han So Hee's behind the scenes clips evoke fuzzy feelings

Article: Song Kang hugs Han So Hee's waist tightly on 'Nevertheless' film set

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+563] We'll pretend not to notice so please start dating ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+190] Just go ahead and date ❤️❤️

3. [+231] Wow, they're crossing the line. I wish they'd cross it just a bit more.

4. [+86] Is this the scene where he dries her hair for her? I love both of them

5. [+65] Please just date, I'm living vicariously through you two

6. [+31] They should have to pay to be able to film this together

7. [+7] Please date

8. [+3] I wonder what it feels like when Song Kang hugs you

PO's acting is cause for concern in 'Hotel Del Luna'?

Article: 'Hotel Del Luna' is on the rise but PO's 'acting' is checked out

Source: Ilgan Sports via Nate

1. [+1,648, -73] He totally grabs your attention because his acting's worse than the extras ㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+1,472, -212] Cha Eunwoo's worse because he's the lead...

3. [+1,406, -68] PO is not prepared enough to play the role of Ji Hyun Joong. There are no emotions... If he's just going to act cute, there are a lot of other child actors who can take his role. Not sure why it had to be PO.

4. [+136, -2] How is he getting all these roles anyway?

5. [+104, -0] I don't know why he keeps scrunching his eyes every time it's his line

6. [+100, -21] One drama production CEO revealed, "The bias of idols = bad at acting has been mostly broken but PO being unable to pull his weight is making me hesitant to cast another idol" I've never seen an article with such a blatant diss like this

7. [+58, -3] The 5 year old is a better actor ㅋ

8. [+25, -8] I don't think he's that bad, go look at Cha Eunwoo if you want an example of real bad acting

9. [+20, -0] He'd be getting worse hate if he was a girl group member but at least he has fans still shielding him ㅋㅋ

10. [+20, -7] I don't think the director cast him for his acting skills but more for his... vibe? That aegyo-like vibe that he has.. well, that's what I think ㅋㅋ that's the only way I can understand it ㅋㅋㅋ

Lee Min Ho drops hints on his new drama 'The King' on live stream

Article: Lee Min Ho, "My drama 'The King' will be the end all of romantic"

Source: TV Report via Nate

1. [+331, -41] He's getting younger and more handsome than his 'Boys Over Flowers' days

2. [+277, -43] Wow~~~~~ he really is handsome..

3. [+245, -38] So handsome ㅋㅋㅋ

4. [+35, -12] Kim Eun Sook makes it a must watch and Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun are the cherry on top

5. [+29, -34] The fact that the female lead is Kim Go Eun, though..... sigh.....

6. [+28, -5] Handsome, can't wait for 'The King'

7. [+25, -3] I'm watching 'The Heirs' reruns and he's still really handsome and cool

8. [+24, -3] Why can't they hurry the drama up? Why next year?

9. [+16, -21] With all the controversy surrounding how much celebrities are paid per drama... didn't he get paid quite a lot as well?

10. [+15, -2] The female lead is Kim Go Eun... not that interested. Even 'Goblin' was saved by Gong Yoo.. though I'm sure those who will watch will watch ㅎㅎ not me, though

11. [+14, -1] Jun Pyo hyung, go save Geum Jandi

12. [+14, -5] Looks like he got his nose done
