Article: "Butter-ya, annyeong?" BTS Jin nicknames his new nephew/niece

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+293] Huk, Butter-ya, annyeong?

2. [+169] Imagine being born and your uncle is BTS??? ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

4. [+14] That's so sweet of him ❤️

5. [+11] F*ck, he's so damn handsome

6. [+9] Imagine your uncle being Jin!!!!

7. [+7] Omo omo, being born into a world where your uncle is Kim Seokjin

8. [+3] I want to be that niece/nephew....

9. [+1] Hi Butter... I'm your aunt... ^^

10. [+1] Imagine your baby bump nickname being Butter.. how cute...

Hybe puts down plagiarism rumors for BTS' 'Butter'

Article: Big Hit responds to BTS 'Butter' chorus plagiarism controversy... "No issues with copyright"

Source: Joongang Ilbo via Naver

1. [+308, -8] Why do people keep bringing it up when Big Hit already said there's no issue?

2. [+167, -3] So here's the official response. Funny how everyone was so quiet when BTS was ranking #1 on the Hot 100 but everyone comes out in swarms to hate when there's a negative piece of news. Let's please not be like this.

3. [+142, -2] Our country will always ignore anything worth congratulating while writing up useless articles like this...

4. [+143, -6] Most top famous artists will spend over a month on making sure all copyrights are squared away. 'Butter' has been #1 on the Billboard for seven weeks in a row and people are trying to tack on all these controversies to them.

5. [+103, -9] Love how the media chooses to be quiet on good news but any sniff of negativity, something that's not even controversial, gets put out with a clickbait title ใ…‹ใ…‹ I laugh at how transparent their intentions are ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹

6. [+83, -0] This isn't a case of plagiarism because the melody line in question in both songs were composed by the same composer. Sure, it may be controversial for the composer to have sold the same melody to BTS and Luca but the copyright itself belongs to the composer. It could've been considered plagiarism if the composers were different but it's the same person. It's fair to hate on the composer for selling the melody twice ใ…‹

7. [+44, -0] How about you all direct this hate to NCT who posted on SNS a message supporting China

8. [+42, -0] Annoying how it's already been established that it's not plagiarism but the media is still headlining it as if it is

9. [+29, -0] People are so desperate to take BTS down. Does it make you that jealous that BTS is doing well, you pathetic cowards?

10. [+18, -0] Never miss with these two figures in our country: BTS and Kim Yuna!!

BTS 'Permission to Dance' ranks #1 on Billboard's Hot 100

Article: "BTS beat BTS" BTS new song 'Permission to Dance' ranks #1 on Billboard again

Source: Everyday Economy via Naver

1. [+1,410, -14] Amazing BTS, congratulations

2. [+1,132, -94] Let's get them army exemptions

3. [+856, -12] A Korean group had five songs in the Billboard Hot 100 all during one year? An accomplishment like this could've never even been imagined back in the day... I really thought Psy ranking #2 would be the first and last time we would ever see something like that

4. [+870, -70] Please grant them army exemptions, it makes no sense for them to serve

5. [+311, -40] Shouldn't they be granted exemptions at this point?

6. [+226, -8] I work at a foreign company and my foreign co-workers always start the day with BTS conversations. They love turning on their songs. Nowadays they're even trying to learn Korean... I really had no idea BTS was this famous. Who knew that BTS' influence would not only spread Korean culture but also our language... It makes me so proud! Hoping to see and learn more from them!!

7. [+119, -5] People still seem to think that the Billboard chart is just some Melon popularity vote but this is not a feat that's possible with just fans alone. BTS is mainstream now and they're getting all the attention for it.

8. [+97, -4] Having BTS serve in the army would actually be a loss to the country

9. [+86, -8] They've truly done more for the country than any sports category win..

10. [+82, -5] I don't think anyone will break their records for a while... they've managed to overcome racism and beat it all out with skills alone! So proud that they're Korean ^^

BTS hides a special sign language message in 'Permission to Dance' MV

Article: BTS hides a 'touching message' for their deaf fans

Source: Insight via Instagram

1. [+330] Really... they had no other option than to be successful ๐Ÿ˜

2. [+277] Wow, much praise to whoever planned this ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

3. [+156] Proud of BTS!!!!

4. [+108] Such a heartwarming message ใ…Žใ…Ž

5. [+92] They have such a deep love for their fans ใ…Žใ…Ž

6. [+68] Korea's the proud country who owns BTS

7. [+50] Billboard hot back #1 for 7 weeks in a row, let's go!!!!  ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’œ

8. [+41] I think it's Korean sign language. Every country has their own sign language with differences. Amazing of BTS to do this. I'm tearing up just imagining how surprised their deaf fans must've felt to see this.

9. [+26[ Wow, BTS is just a parade of heartwarming moments. I support you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

10. [+18] Not just their music... but their mentalities are amazing too

Debate over upcoming BTS fan meet in Japan

Article: BTS Japanese fan meet controversy... "At a time like this?" vs "Has nothing to do with politics"

Source: The Fact via Nate

1. [+2,416, -172] I support them making money there and bringing it back

2. [+2,267, -169] Gotta bring home the yen~ why hate on that~~ ใ…Žใ…Ž

3. [+1,986, -136] Let's not oppose everything related to Japan, we have to calculate what benefits us and doesn't. Japanese money coming in to Korea is a good thing ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹

4. [+95, -12] I support the fan meet because they're going to Japan to bring home the yen... If they were just going for vacation, they'd get hated on to death, but I support it because it's to make money. And I bet the right-wingers would get so mad at seeing Japanese fans attend the fan meet, shaking in anger at their own people fangirling over Korean celebrities... That's why I support it, although the radioactivity does make me worry..

5. [+65, -14] Bring home the yen ใ…Žใ…Ž I support BTS~~

6. [+62, -6] I like that they'll bring home yen but I do worry that a worldwide star like BTS will make others think that Japan is a safe place by going there

7. [+60, -3] I don't care about the fan meet but let's not be two faced. If it's okay for BTS to work in Japan, then other singers shouldn't get hate for it either.

8. [+48, -19] Look at the hypocrisy ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹ Twice would get a sh*t ton of hate if they were going to have a Japanese fan meet ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹ใ…‹

9. [+46, -5] Imagine the impact if BTS said something like "Dokdo belongs to Korea"...

10. [+41, -13] People are saying that it's fine because BTS is bringing home yen but they're also making money for their Japanese sponsors and businesses involved. If you really want to "bring home the yen", then BTS should be opening a fan meet in Korea and having the Japanese fans come here. Tsk tsk, pathetic logic.

BTS keychain found on floor of Hong Kong protests tugs at netizen heartstrings

Article"We hope she's okay..." BTS merch fallen on the floor at the scene of Hong Kong protests

Source: Money Today via Nate

1. [+2,549, -33] It's not important whose fan she is but the fact that she had a keychain on which means she's young enough to be a student. It's a bitter reality to know that even teens are out there protesting. It's not only this keychain that's been trampled on but the freedom of the people of Hong Kong.

2. [+2,401, -53] Seeing this doll makes Hong Kong feel so close to home even though it's far away... I hope they're not hurt

3. [+2,190, -33] It must belong to a student and yet she was out there fighting in the streets for democracy. I hope she's safe and not hurt, something about this is heartbreaking ใ…กใ…ก

4. [+66, -0] All the idols supporting China need to be kicked out of our country.. How can they make money off of a democratic country while supporting socialism?? Especially Jackson, he's from Hong Kong himself, how can he do that? As a Korean, even I feel betrayed.

5. [+57, -1] I feel so sad.. we, as Koreans, know this feeling better than anyone else.

6. [+45, -0] So sad to see this doll on the floor..

7. [+45, -0] So upsetting.. I hope to find out whether the owner of this keychain is safe.

8. [+40, -0] Sigh, my heart ใ…  I hope she's safe

9. [+34, -0] Apparently she's only 17 years old... I wonder who's responsible for having this 17 year old out on the streets like this? My heart breaks.

10. [+34, -1] I wonder what Jungkook feels seeing this ใ… ใ… ใ… ใ… ใ… ใ… ใ…  I hope Hong Kong achieves democracy.. ใ… ใ…

11. [+29, -0] I'm choking up over a doll..

12. [+24, -0] This doll may have been left on the floor but I hope its owner is safe...
